With inspiration and guidance from Night garden Guru Ethan Vogt, we are expanding our community garden into the evening hours by adding light, food and music as a way to draw in more of ur community to share conversation and ideas at the end of the hot summer days.

BDEA offers classes through the month of July, for students looking to catch up on benchmarks or accelerate their path to graduation.

At the end of the summer, the school community gathers together to harvest our crops.

We let our summer flowers grow wild, but hire students to join with community gardeners to tend the vegetable plots.

Students, staff, and visitors to the school take advantage of good weather to spend time outside in one of our two gardens, or on a big swing on our front lawn.

Capstone

Capstone also takes place during Summer Academy, so students on track to graduate in September can finish up their work in July and walk across the stage in September.
